Instruction for 2017 Graduate School Entrance Examination of Doctoral Course (General Admission and Screening for Working People)

The schedule of oral examination on Feb. 2nd, 2017 is as follows.

Gathering Time and Location

  • 9:30 am, Feb. 2nd (Thur), 2017 @ Room 3L302-2 (Building 3L, 3rd floor, Room #302-2)
  • Please note that the room opens from 9:00 am. For the location of building 3L, please refer the following web page.

Oral Examination Procedure

  • Presentation Time: You are allowed to give 20 minutes presentation (1st bell rings at 15 min. then 2nd bell rings at 20 min.). After the 2nd bell rang, you must finish your presentation. Then examiners will give you questions.
  • Contents of Your Presentation: You’re required to explain your past and current research works, your research plan at our graduate school, and your motivation why you are applying to our graduate school. You are recommended to explain all of your achievements including journal papers, international conference papers, domestic oral/poster presentations, and patents on your slide. You may include submitted papers under the review, plan of paper submissions, and papers, which you are not the first author by specifying it. Please note that the presentation should be made only by PPT slide presentation. You are not allowed to bring in nor deliver any materials at the examination room.
  • Presentation Equipment: We’ll prepare PC projector (overhead transparency slide projector won’t be prepared) in each of examination room. The resolution of projector is XGA and connector is VGA (D-sub 15pin). You must bring in your own notebook PC and make the presentation. Also, it is recommended to make a hard copy of your slides in A4 papers as the backup of your presentation. Since the projectors we prepare have the function of document camera, you may give your presentation using A4 papers in the case you have problems on your notebook PC. As for the number of slides, we won’t make the limitations, but you must finish your presentation in 20 min.
  1. Notice to the Applicants Who Apply One Year Early Completion Program
  • Those who apply one year early completion program are required to make a contact and have consultations with your presumed advisors in advance to the examination.
